b'LEGAL The service is provided by Enfield Councils in-house legal service which is responsible for providing legal advice tothe Council in respect of the whole range of its functions. The service forms part of the Chief Executives Group(CEX), and the Director of Law and Governance reports directly to the Chief Executive. Legal Services adheres to theprocedures as laid out in the Councils Constitution. The service is split into four teams as detailed below and will provide you with ready access to specialist knowledge onthese areas:Safeguarding Environment and Regeneration which includes advisingand drafting on:Advice on general childcare matters All types of leases, licenses and hall hire arrangementsAdvice on safeguarding children and adults.Sales and acquisition agreements for land or buildingsAdvice to schools on general matters, including Telecommunication code mattersaspects of parental responsibility and Restrictive covenants and wayleave agreementscommunications with parents Planning obligations and planning related queriesAdvice on school transport and Special All issues arising in respect of the environmentEducational Needs including parks, waste and street scene mattersAdvice on individuals and families with no Issues arising from assets of community valuerecourse to public funds All highway matters including the drafting ofagreements and stopping up ordersThe application of Property Procedure Rules,Corporate regeneration advice and projects, environment, andreal estate work. ( Note: we do not provideEmployment matters conveyancing as part of our service package)Complex civil litigation, including contractdisputes, property disputes, civil fraud andcomplex debt recovery.
